CTB1 Exclusive Job
Head of Credit Risk
Location: Remote, US (East Coast Preference)
Lead the credit risk function: owning underwriting, pricing, portfolio performance, and the strategic roadmap for a fast-growing consumer lender. This role shapes the company’s credit framework, drives profitability, and advances automation and decisioning, including aggregator funnel strategy and Lightbox-based underwriting.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize credit underwriting, pricing, and portfolio strategies (incl. aggregators + Lightbox).
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing risk analytics team.
Manage credit performance, loss forecasting, unit economics, and competitive benchmarks.
Build dashboards and analytics to monitor trends and emerging risks.
Partner with Engineering/Product to implement automation and decisioning updates.
Present strategy to Executive Leadership, Risk Committee & Pricing Committee.
Requirements:
10+ years in credit risk, incl. 3+ years in consumer unsecured lending.
Deep expertise in underwriting, pricing, credit performance, structured finance.
Strong analytical skills and experience with large datasets.
Experience with aggregator channels and Lightbox/alt-data decisioning.
Bachelor’s in a quantitative field (Master’s preferred).
